PICTURE EXPOSITION

Creusographie and Photolim87 are two associations of photographers who have forged strong bonds of friendship and partnership with Musique(s) en Marche. They have accompanied the Festival Jazz à La Sout for about ten years now.

Nearly 1,000 photos are taken during each edition.

The result: a very rich photo library that you just have to leaf through to relive each concert, even years later, and a selection of images that are presented to you on display at each festival.

The 2023 exhibition offers you a retrospective of photos retracing this decade of friendship and photographic memories.

Our projects, our actions

MeM conducts awareness and training actions with children, but also adults through the discovery of new artistic practices

Interventions in school settings:

  • Choir project (school year 2020-2021): The project initiated during the 2019-2020 school year was renewed with pupils from the schools of Champagnat, Lavaveix-les-Mines, Peyrat-la-Nonière and pupils from 6th Collège Simone Veil de Chénérailles, i.e. a hundred children.

  • For the 2021-2022 school year, a new project with the participation of the Caïman Swing orchestra is underway. It brings together, around song and jazz, students from elementary school (CE2, CM1 and CM2) and the college of Auzances (CHAM).

Guéret school choir project  :

  • Choir project (school year 2020-2021): The project initiated during the 2019-2020 school year was renewed with pupils from the schools of Champagnat, Lavaveix-les-Mines, Peyrat-la-Nonière and pupils from 6th Collège Simone Veil de Chénérailles, i.e. a hundred children.

  • For the 2021-2022 school year, a new project with the participation of the Caïman Swing orchestra is underway. It brings together, around song and jazz, students from elementary school (CE2, CM1 and CM2) and the college of Auzances (CHAM).

Interventions in health facilities:

  • For several years, as part of the Culture and Health program, MEM has been leading a device for artistic creation and dissemination, "Music and Health", aimed at health establishments.  The “Music and Health” system is part of the regional “culture and health” program and is supported by the Guéret hospital centre. It brings together 15 Creusois health establishments and Musique(s) en Marche.

For the 2021 session, it has been decided to schedule 2 concerts per establishment which will be given by 8 music companies that are members of the CMF Creuse de Musique(s) en Marche cluster.

Junior orchestras:

  • For the 2020-2021 school year, with local music companies, MeM continues to lead a youth orchestra project in Bourganeuf, La Souterraine, Guéret, led by the bandmasters (Elodie COTET and Bryan ADAMS), to create in each of these municipalities a junior orchestra or a neighborhood orchestra. The project is based on a playful teaching method (feeling, understanding, learning) which emphasizes group pedagogy. These courses are open to children from 7 to 12 years old. It is planned for a period of 2 to 3 years, at the rate of a meeting of 1 hour per week, according to the rhythm of the school calendar. Additional times will be offered (meetings with all the neighborhood orchestras, with the harmony orchestra or other groups from the orchestra, festive moments of the association, invitations to outdoor outings, etc.) depending opportunities.

Musique(s) en Marche is also a tool for cultural dissemination of the Creuse territory by participating in numerous official ceremonies or communal events (July 14, National Day of Tribute to Victims of Terrorism, Guéret Summer Nights, etc.), in responding to calls for projects (CFPPA de la Creuse) or by organizing musical events (Concerts of the Departmental Orchestra of Creuse, Departmental Festival of Musical Societies, JALS Autumn Festival, etc.).

Finally, Musique(s) en Marche can rely on human resources:

  • more than 600 active volunteer members

  • 15 volunteer administrators on the Board of Directors

  • 6 permanent employees

  • 139 hires of intermittent employees in 2021

  • several musical formations (from the Chamber Orchestra to the large Harmony Orchestra)
